sometimes the monitor not showing properly n gotta knock it for correct view.

i think is the adapter problem..but say truly, it is not worth to fix it..this is my advice.

One of the possible cause your laptop kept restartin is because it's overheated or in another words it is too hot,most laptops have a temperature sensor,if the sensor read over the temperature limit it will auto restart to protect your laptop from getting fried...make sure there is no obstruction to your laptop fan..just a suggestion,try use your laptop in an aircond room,c whether it will restart or not...

another possible cause can be hardware issues (ram,harddisk),can be driver,pc,settings etc...to see what are the possible cause of this issues,try use system failure settings to stop restarting:
1. Click Start and Open the Control Panel
2. Go to System and Maintenance, Click on System.
3. Select Advanced System Settings and choose Advance tab.
4. Under Startup and Recovery, click on Settings.
5. Under System failure uncheck Automatically restart.

or u can use event viewer to pinpoint the issue:
1.Click Start
2.Click Control Panel
3. Click System and Maintenance
4. Click Administrative Tools
5. Double-Click Event Viewer.

check for critical or error on the viewer. If you can remember what time the restart happen,do check on the time specific that the restart happen. It may tell you which hardware or software caused the auto restart..

Download of windows 7 RC are not allowed anymore at microsoft website but you can still get the original product key at the website for free: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/download.aspx

I think one of the parts is either loosen or burned..try go to television repair shops.....i think they'll know what to do with it...and btw,just for your info,it is not the adapter that caused it because adapter only effect the on/off function (power) of the monitor...

regarding this, it actually depend on the situation of monitor. Because we havent check the monitor yet, so still cant make assumption. the adapter i mean is not for only on/off function. i got experience in servicing this kind of problem where the adapter is loosen or burned. anyway, thanks for your information.
