Re: New Gym area in Curtin
I just read from CSM Express Issue #1 / 2010
Weight Room and Cardio Area now open *NEW!*
The Weight Room and Cardio Area at the Recreation and Event Centre was opened on 12 January 2010 *means u can actually use it now!*.
The facilities are available on trial basis until further notice and opening hours are from 11.00 am – 2.00 pm. Should you have any queries regarding the facilities, e-mail universitylife@curtin.edu.my or call ext. 3982.

Re: New Gym area in Curtin
bt then i would really like it if they opened like midnight. XD. Midnight exercise is the best. The air is cooling, humid, and quiet.

Re: New Gym area in Curtin
nah...they won't even think of it.
They have to keep a guard at the gym, on unnecessary lighting for a few people only, and also there is the issue of practicality. LOL

practicality LOL LOL LOL =.="
then what is the use of setting up a gym area which doesn't bring any benefits to its consumers .. basically i mean we the student hahah xD
some would have prefer gym-ing in the morning, some wants it at the late evenings after whole day of boring?hectic? etc lecturers.. and some the-you-type would wants it to be midnight.. can't really squeeze everyone to a same time frame ma... preferences, don't they understand =.="""
no offence, but any investments are expected to bring returns.. in this case, a good gym area.. good word of mouth.. boost the reputation... and vice versa..*just my very own peice of thinking la~* xD

Re: New Gym area in Curtin
true true. The best is that the gym area uses something like access cards on ICT. Then we can access whenever we want. =S

Re: New Gym area in Curtin
i agree on this point of view. so users would need to check in and check out. just in case there is any damages in the future.. is kinda easy to track it as the system would have recorded a list of users matching with the timeframe.. they won't need to hire guard to jaga there xD but but but... guess such implementation gonna takes time.. *lalala~* hahah
Re: New Gym area in Curtin
yeala.....you know the school kiam siap la.....
new gym use old gym equip. Personally I'm okay with that la, cause save cost ma...but to put it open air and not even have enclosure....nono....i dun like that idea AT ALL. It will look like a park with some exercise machines.
Me on the otherhand would prefer a special area (enclosed) for real serious player of gym. =\.
